Resort’s Summer Festivities Begin May 18 and Continue Through September 2

Gaylord Rockies Welcomes Summer with New Family-Friendly Activities

AURORA, Colo. (May 14, 2024) - Gaylord Rockies Resort is celebrating their fifth annual summer extraordinary celebration, beginning May 18, and continuing through Sept. 2. The endless itinerary of summer entertainment also includes the resort's exclusive waterpark, Arapahoe Springs, with exhilarating slides and a 720-foot winding lazy river, 10,000-square-foot Grand Lodge Lawn and Games Lawn, a wide variety of culinary cuisine and experiential classes, and relaxation in a luxurious, full-service spa.

Extraordinary Thrills

An exclusive amenity for overnight guests, Arapahoe Springs Waterpark features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water slides, lap pool, outdoor hot tub, and a 720-foot-long lazy river with waterfalls, water jets, and bubblers. Guests can reserve private poolside cabanas, presented by LIFEWTR.

Extraordinary Dining

Throughout the resort, vast dining options await, including gourmet steaks and an award-winning wine list at Old Hickory Steakhouse, casual American fare in front of a 75-foot flat-panel TV at Mountain Pass Sports Bar, and experiential and new dining options, including: Old Hickory Master Cocktail Classes and Master French Wine Classes, British Beer Tastings, as well as the launch of two new outlets, The Fortunate Prospector and Embers Lodge Bar.

  • NEW - Old Hickory Master French Wine Class ($50 per person) During this one-hour adults-only experience, wine experts at the resort will guide guests as they explore a variety of wines paired perfectly with cheese. Saturdays; June 1, June 15, June 29, July 13, July 27, Aug. 10, Aug. 24; 3 p.m.
  • NEW - British Beer Tasting ($25 per person) Guests will sample three classic British-inspired beer cocktails - Half and Half, Snake Bite, and Shandy - and learn the history of these unique British drinks. Friday, Saturday, and Sundays; 4 - 5 p.m.
  • Old Hickory Master Cocktail Class ($50 per person) Guests will experience an hour of expert guidance delving into the world of mixology, then roll up their sleeves to craft two cocktails alongside master bartenders. Select Saturdays; May 25, June 8, June 22, July 6, July 20, Aug. 3, Aug. 17, Aug. 31; 3 p.m.
  • NEW - Embers Lodge Bar Embers Lodge Bar, the crown jewel of the Grand Lodge nestled amidst the Rocky Mountains, features a 360-degree wrap-around bar accommodating up to 248 guests. Guests can enjoy panoramic views and savor Colorado-inspired cocktails like the Ziggy Stardust alongside light bites such as oysters and barbacoa sliders.
  • NEW - The Fortunate Prospector The Fortunate Prospector, the resort's new English pub, seats 134 guests and draws inspiration from both Colorado mining history and cozy English taverns. Featuring detailed woodwork and Victorian-era design elements, it offers classic English dishes like fish & chips and bangers and mash, alongside cocktails like the Single-Handed Sailor. Guests are immersed in the whimsical legend of Earl, the bighorn sheep, who discovered gold in the Rockies and now invites all to celebrate his prosperity at the pub.

  • NEW - Adventure Kids: The Hunt for Hidden Treasure: Guests can join the Gaylord Hotels Adventure Kids on an interactive quest to find a lost treasure map using detective skills to uncover hidden gems. Presented by LIFEWTR.

  • NEW - TopGolf Swing Suites: Explore cutting-edge entertainment in Mountain Pass Sports Bar, boasting two simulator bays, virtual games, cozy lounge seating, and delectable food service for an unforgettable outing.
  • Wildlife Rescue presented by bubly™: (Complimentary) Guests can explore a virtual safari at the resort, searching for 12 endangered animals. Discover tracking markers and learn about each species as they come to life through augmented reality.
  • Animal Encounters: (Sat. & Sun., Complimentary) In partnership with Nature's Educators, Animal Encounters offers guests the chance to get up close with a variety of fascinating creatures while learning about their unique characteristics and behaviors.

Extraordinary Relaxation

Guests visiting Relâche Spa can enjoy a full array of summer massage, facial and nail treatments. May and July features Desert Revival and Prickly Pear inspired services, with anti-aging and detoxing benefits, while August showcases cooling and hydrating Avocado treatments.

Reservations at Relâche Spa grant access to Arapahoe Springs Waterpark, free parking, the resort's full-service gym, and spa amenities.
