History
Zigong, China, known as the "Lantern Capital of the World," has a 1,000-year-old tradition of crafting breathtaking lanterns. Dating back to the Tang and Song dynasties, artisans perfected the art using bamboo frames, silk coverings, and intricate, hand-painted designs.
Production
As the leader in immersive resort experiences, Gaylord Hotels joined forces with DC, the gold standard in superhero storytelling. Artisans use hand-drawn, highly detailed blueprints of DC characters in iconic scenes to craft this never-before-seen lantern attraction.
DC Collaboration
Skilled artisans hand-shape steel frames, drape them in silk, and illuminate each with thousands of LED lights to bring the lanterns to life. Every cape, emblem, and expression is meticulously crafted for a truly unique exhibit.
World Premiere
From concept to creation, DC Legends come to light in glowing lanterns. Enjoy a sneak peek of some iconic characters you'll encounter in this extraordinary experience at the Gaylord Texan.
