NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (August 29, 2024) - Gaylord National is teaming up with Caymus Vineyards to celebrate the incoming fall season with a five-course wine dinner at award-winning Old Hickory Steakhouse. The dinner will be held on September 20, featuring a selection of Caymus wines bottled in celebration of the vineyard's 50th year.
Known for their spectacular red wine, Caymus is the perfect wine to be featured at the turning of seasons dinner. The winery's very own Roger Blottenberger will host the evening, along with Gaylord National Chef Kevin Marshall-Broderick, who specially curated the hearty menu to pull the best flavors from each wine featured.
As the vineyard is famous for it's two-time Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year award winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Chef Marshall-Broderick and Blottenberger have chosen to pair two types of Cabernet Sauvignons with the five-course menu. Four more flavorful vintages will also be served along with an amuse bush and courses including scallop carpaccio, butter poached lobster and wagyu striploin. Chef Marshall-Broderick selected each dish to harmonize with the distinct flavors of each wine, creating a sophisticated culinary experience that evokes the essence of fall.
Reservations for the evening can be made here. Dinner will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $99 per person.
