Lone Star Murder Mysteries are an exciting, interactive, comedy murder mystery production. Our critically acclaimed production is set in the 1880's when Fort Worth was a young city and had become a major rail head for moving cattle north to market. For murder mystery aficionados, we provide intrigue, suspense and challenge for their investigative skills. For those who just want to have fun with dinner, we provide more hilarity than you can imagine!
What is interactive theater?
The actors perform, not on a stage, but rather in and among the tables. At the end of the second act each table has the opportunity to "question" the suspects. Each table then submits a ballot choosing who they believe is the "guilty" party. Prizes are awarded to the winning table and a drawing is held in the event of a tie.
How long is the show?
Doors open on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Our production starts promptly at 8 pm. Depending on audience participation our show normally runs about 1 1/2 hours.
What is the story?
Lone Star Murder Mysteries’ comedy shows are loosely based on historically accurate characters that lived and worked in the Dallas/Fort Worth area during the 1880s and at a time when Fort Worth was home to all manners of cowhands, gamblers, outlaws and swindlers who worked and schemed to profit from its every-busy stockyards. Our story takes place in this infamous environment as PT Barnum is murdered and everyone involved is a suspect.

New Show "Bushwhacked At Bronco Bob's"
“There’s a sucker born every minute” that old bamboozler PT Barnum once said. “Hah! There’s a sucker made every minute!” says that dastardly snake in the grass, Harry Pitts. This masterfully manipulating malcontent is out to derail Bronco Bob’s Wild West Show and Extravaganza and retire on his own “stimulus package” from the sideshow shambles. Tarnation! Who of the cast will stop that finagling fiend?!? Could it be Bronco Bob, the show’s namesake, a cowboy who’s true blue but without a clue? Or, that perpetually perplexed damsel in distress, star of the show, Penelope Pureheart, who never met a mirror she didn’t like? How ‘bout that rootin’, tootin’, shoot ‘em first and ask questions later wildcat, Annie Oaktree?
If they can’t stop the pernicious Pitts, our only hope may be the hygienically challenged Smitty, stage-hand, stable-hand, understudy and muck-magnet extraordinaire. And just where is the dang law in this town? Hang on to your popcorn and peanuts, Bronco Buckeroos, cause you’re in for a hilarious Wild West show that would make Buffalo Bill spin in his grave.
The hilariously entertaining Lone Star Murder Mysteries have been a hit since opening at Gaylord in the fall of 2004!
Performances are every Friday and Saturday, Texas Theater in Riverwalk Café, located inside Gaylord Texan Resort, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine, TX 76051.
Tickets are $55 per person and include dinner at Riverwalk Cafe, show, tax, gratuity, and self-parking. Doors Open 7:00pm - Showtime is 8:00pm. Due to frequent sell-outs, reservations are strongly recommended.
