Mike joined Gaylord Hotels in 2005 to lead the Sales and Marketing team at Gaylord Palms and had tremendous influence over the way the Palms marketed, publicized and sold the resort experience. After a successful tenure at Gaylord Palms, Mike joined Gaylord Texan in April, 2009 continuing his commitment to excellence and the STARS, First culture.

Prior to beginning his career with Gaylord Hotels, Mike completed 16 years of service with Marriott International. At Marriott, he spearheaded a Marketing division, served as a Senior Sales Manager, directed national accounts, headed hotel sales (his sales team won "Sales Team of the Quarter" five out of nine quarters), and became Director of Sales and Marketing.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Illinois University; and Masters of Business Administration (Executive Program) from the University of Central Florida.

Mike is a 2002 winner of the JW Marriott "Award of Excellence" and served as Vice Chair of the Orlando CVB Convention Committee (2003-2004).
