With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and hotel management business, John Imaizumi serves as senior vice president and general manager. In this position, Imaizumi oversees all facets of the resort and convention center operations.

He joined Gaylord Hotels from Ian Schrager Hotels in New York, where he served as vice president of operations and most recently as chief administrative officer. Prior to that, he was employed by Marriott Hotels and Resorts for more than eight years. During that time, he served as controller of Marriott's Hilton Head resort and was part of the team that opened Marriott's first 1,674-room "Marquis Mega" hotel in Atlanta.

John Imaizumi graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Finance.
