Monica Schyck Named Director of Sales for Gaylord Palms Resort

Kissimmee, Fla.—( February 19, 2007 ) Monica Schyck has joined Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center as director of sales. She succeeds Tina Sampson, who has been promoted to vice president of Sales and Marketing for the new Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The announcement was made by Mike Wainwright, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

In her new position, Schyck will lead the resort’s highly successful sales team in their efforts to provide a flawless sales experience for meetings professionals. Schyck joins the team with 12 years of experience from Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

“We didn’t have to look far to find the perfect candidate for this role,” Wainwright said. “At Gaylord Opryland, Monica is known for her deep passion for our Gaylord culture and is recognized for her unique ability to connect with people”.

Monica is a graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky; and, along with her husband Steve, is the proud parent of Trey, age 6 and Ailey, age 3.
