Lavendol joined Gaylord Hotels in 2002, servicing as director of Leadership and Training. Lavendol is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Prior to Gaylord, she was director of Human Resources at Charles Schwab and Company, Inc., where she supported the Retail Brokerage Operations Division for the eastern United States. She led the Operation's Employee Survey Process and facilitated workshops for Schwab University.

At Walt Disney Company, Lavendol met the Human Resource needs of more than 1,600 cast members and 200 managers in Disney's Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering, Horticulture, and Decorating divisions of Facilities and Operations Services. She designed leadership development programs and facilitated workshops at the Disney University. While at the Walt Disney Company, she was honored as Partner in Excellence, the highest cast member recognition at Walt Disney World.

Lavendol received a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Barry University. She earned a Masters of Arts degree in Human Resources from Rollins College, and she earned her Masters of Business Administration, in the Executive MBA program, at Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
