Zarth joined Gaylord Hotels in 2001, as a member of the opening team for Gaylord Palms, serving as Chief Information Officer.

Zarth was formerly at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando, where he was chief information officer for the Portofino Bay Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel. Prior to moving to Orlando, he was the director of management information systems for Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie in Texas, Grove Park Inn Hotel & Resort in North Carolina and the Loews Anatole Hotel in Texas.

He also has an extensive background in hotel operations.
