General Jackson Showboat Offers Two Shows This Holiday Season
Nashville, Tenn.—( October 25, 2011 ) This Christmas, those looking for a unique way to celebrate the holidays won’t have to look any further than the General Jackson Showboat. The iconic paddlewheel riverboat will offer two cruises that showcase the magic and joy of the “most wonderful time of the year.”New this holiday season is the midday show Steve Hall & The Shotgun Red Christmas¸a country comedy show that is full of heartwarming and delightful moments from the duo who have been capturing attention for the past 25 years. This hilarious pair first rose to fame on Hee Haw before becoming a staple on Nashville Now and the Grand Ole Opry.
Guests to the Steve Hall & The Shotgun Red Christmas cruise will enjoy a menu prepared exclusively for the holiday season, including a roasted pork loin with cranberry chutney, sweet potato mash with streusel topping, broiled Roma tomatoes, steamed green beans and an apple, cranberry and raisin strudel drizzled with crème Anglaise and topped with powdered sugar. The Steve Hall & The Shotgun Red Christmas begins Nov. 18 and runs through Dec. 25.
And for the evening, A Country Christmas on the Cumberland honors the season with favorite Christmas classics and contemporary songs of the holidays. A cast of six multi-talented singers will perform within the glittering two-story Victorian Theater, while guests are treated to a menu of braised short ribs, buttered jumbo prawns, a twice baked potato, steamed asparagus and the apple, cranberry, raisin strudel. A Country Christmas on the Cumberland is available Nov. 17 – Dec. 23.
