Nashville, Tenn.—( July 6, 2011 )Beginning Friday, July 8, 2011, the General Jackson Showboat will offer its midday cruise from Riverfront Park, giving guests and visitors to Music City one more reason to "stay and play" in downtown Nashville, Tenn.
"Downtown Nashville is an exciting hub of activity at all times of the year, particularly during the summer. Our midday show, full of country comedy and humor, has received rave reviews since it began a few months ago, and we wanted to make it more accessible to downtown visitors," said Dennis Schnurbusch, general manager of the General Jackson Showboat. "The General Jackson will dock downtown in July and August, allowing guests the opportunity to take advantage of more that Music City has to offer."
The midday show features the entertainment of Steve Hall and the Shotgun Red Show, full of what is described as "jaw-dropping, gut-busting comedy" during the two-hour cruise.
