Award-winning chefs provide taste and convenience with new Gobbler-To-Go program or six delicious options for dining out

This Thanksgiving, leave the hard work of cooking a magnificent feast to the award-winning chefs at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The resort's new Gobbler-to-Go program offers everything from the turkey to all of the scrumptious trimmings, either for pick up or delivery, for an unforgettable holiday dinner. All of the items may be purchased á la carte or as a complete dinner, including the centerpiece.

The menu options include:

  • Brined Turkey
  • Cornbread Stuffing with spiced Granny Smith Apples, celery, onions
  • Maple-Roasted Yams
  • Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes
  • Sautéed Butternut Acorn Squash with candied pecans and brown sugar
  • Butternut Squash Bisque with dried pear croutons
  • Cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries, Grand Marnier and citrus
  • Southern-Style Green Beans with bacon and onions
  • Country Turkey Gravy
  • Oak-Roasted Salmon with seafood salads and dips
  • Orzo Pasta Salad with harvest grains and fresh Autumn vegetables
  • Seared Fingerling Potatoes with haricot verts and crispy pancetta in whole-grain mustard vinaigrette (chilled)
  • Granny Smith and Macintosh Apple Salad with toasted walnuts and blue cheese

Prices range from $8 for an individual side dish, to a full dinner for ten at $275, which is the best value.

To order Gobbler-To-Go, Contact Gaylord Opryland before November 22, 2009. Orders are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are secured with a credit card. Meals can be picked up on Wednesday, November 25, between 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. or Thursday, November 26, between 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Delivery within a 25-mile radius is available for a $20 fee. All turkeys are brined, seasoned, panned and ready to go into the oven, or they can be delivered fully cooked, by your choice. All side dishes are fully cooked and prepared, and all items are in microwaveable dishes for reheating. Complete warming instructions are provided, and portions are generous to accommodate leftovers. All orders will include freshly baked bread.

Cascades Seafood Restaurant. Kids 5 and under eat free! General Jackson Showboat. Kids 4 and under are free! Enjoy a live performance of Tim Watson's "Tennessee Christmas" and a full three-course dinner onboard Nashville's iconic General Jackson Showboat during the midday cruise, Thanksgiving Day. The meal will feature Roast Breast of Tom Turkey with Sage and Onion Stuffing and gravy, cranberry relish, Bourbon-Glazed Boneless Smoked Ham and pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream and much more. Gaylord Springs Golf Links Clubhouse. Children under 8 eat free! The impressive Thanksgiving Day Extravaganza spread includes a salmon station, along with an expansive selection of fruit, cheese, chilled shrimp and antipasto, a full breakfast station, Whole Roasted Turkey with Giblet Gravy, Herb-Crusted Slow-Roasted New York Sirloin and Old-Fashioned Pot Roast, and a wide range of delicious desserts. Old Hickory Steakhouse. Gaylord Opryland's beautiful Old Hickory Steakhouse will be open Thanksgiving night with its regular menu along with a holiday special that includes Roasted Squash Panzanella Salad Frise with Goat Cheese, Brioche croutons and Orange Vanilla Vinaigrette, a Free-Range Turkey Dinner highlighted by Roasted Fall Squash Stuffing, Glazed Tennessee Sorghum Carrots, Red Bliss Mash potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, and for dessert Heirloom Apple Tarts with Tahitian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Dried Cranberries, and Pistachio dust. Ristorante Volare. Located in the beautiful Garden Conservatory Atrium, Ristorante Volare will provide a prix-fixe menu for an unforgettable Italian-style Thanksgiving to include a creative fall salad with arugula, apple butter/apple cider vinaigrette, cranberries and spiced walnuts, followed by Turkey Confit with Ricotta Gnocci and Trip Country Ham in a Velouté Sauce with vegetables. Dessert brings a combination of pumpkin, eggnog and hazelnut in a Pumpkin Semi Fredo. Adults are $40.00. A children's menu is available. Water's Edge Marketplace Buffet. Kids 4 and under eat free! The assortment of remarkable food seems endless on Thanksgiving at Water's Edge Marketplace Buffet where there are more than 25 items from which to choose. Freshly baked breads are followed by salads including Cranberry Pecan Gorgonzola Couscous, and more traditional starters such as Shrimp Cocktail. Soups include Butternut Squash Bisque with Cinnamon Roll Croutons and Smoked Salmon Corn Chowder. Cedar Plank Salmon and Maple-Brined Turkey and Gravy begin the list of entrées that are paired with traditional side dishes. The centerpiece of the wide array of desserts is a Build Your Own Cupcake station loved by kids of all ages. Reservations are not accepted. Adults are $39.95. Children 5-12 are $16.50.
