Gaylord Opryland® Resort Chefs Participate in Our Kids Soup Sunday
Chefs from Gaylord Opryland will join forces with other Nashville restaurants and chefs to raise money for the Our Kids foundation, a non-profit organization that provides medical and psychological support for children who may have been abused. Gaylord Opryland® Resort will enter a Ristorante Volare favorite created by Chef Maurizio Bussolino into the soup-tasting party and competition. Judges will determine winners in three categories: Best Soup, Most Creative Soup and Judge's Choice. The event is scheduled for February 24 at LP field. Gaylord Opryland® Chef Goes to National Culinary Competition
Chef Forrest Parker, of Gaylord Opryland's Old Hickory Steakhouse has qualified for the 2008 Pork Producer Associations National Competition. After being named the Chef Par Excellence for his spice-rubbed, shagbark lacquered center-cut pork chop at the 2008 Tennessee Pork Producers Association Competition, Chef Parker will compete in the national competition that will be held in Washington, D.C. Chef Laurie Potts, of the world-famous Wildhorse Saloon, also had a successful competition, being awarded first place in the "Best Use of Tennessee Products" category.
