Nashville, Tenn.—( April 5, 2007 ) Come turn up the heat in somebody else’s kitchen and let your inner chef have some fun! As part of the annual SummerFest™ celebration, Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center invites you to celebrate the summer with food, wine and music.

Join some of Gaylord Opryland Resort’s master chefs in hands-on Cooking Under Glass events, scheduled every Saturday at 3 p.m. , May 5 through Sept. 29, 2007. Gourmets and novices alike will be able to see how award-winning culinary delights are prepared in the resort’s kitchens and restaurants. International recipes will be created, including signature Lobster Thermador, Steak and Guinness Pie, Tapas and Paella. Themed classes, such as Date Night Dinners or Tuscan Traditions will also be held, where guests can learn tricks of the trade to make any event memorable. From basic cooking techniques for the novice to haute cuisine for the seasoned chef, these classes will provide the tools needed to make masterpieces right at home.

Also during SummerFest, experience the fascinating DiVine character performer; listen to Music City’s best and most creative minds in Songwriters Under the Stars; marvel at the carefully choreographed Aqua fountain shows; learn amazing facts about the history of the hotel and its lush foliage during Hotel and Garden Tours; and enjoy HydroponiX, a musical celebration featuring live performers interacting with light and nature performing in the waters of the Cascades Atrium. There truly is something for everyone.
