Nashville, Tenn.—( February 21, 2007 ) They’ll be gobbling from the balconies at Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, February 23-25, as thousands arrive to attend the National Wild Turkey Federation’s 31st annual National Convention and Sport Show. “We actually play recorded turkey calls at our valet automobile check-in area for these folks so they feel welcome the moment they get here,” said Kim Keelor, senior public relations manager. The resort is expecting more than 2,500 attendees to stay during the conference but more than 30,000 people will visit various events at Gaylord Opryland during the sports show. Keynote speakers include Mike Johanns, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture; Tom Ridge, first Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and former governor of Pennsylvania; Sandra S. Froman, president of the National Rifle Association of America; and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
