Gaylord Opryland

Onsite Photography and Videography Policy

Personal/Amateur Photography and Videography

Gaylord Opryland Resort encourages guests and visitors to take personal video or still photographs while enjoying their visit. All images and videos taken by guests and visitors are allowed free of charge so long as the images and videos are used for a personal, non-commercial purpose. All photographs and video should be taken from public viewing areas and must be taken with a hand-held camera (non-professional equipment).

IMPORTANT: All camera accessories that could potentially impede foot traffic are expressly forbidden, including: camera tripods, monopods, lighting setups, large reflectors and staging shots.

Gaylord Opryland has the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold or withdraw consent to photograph and video (or to reproduce photographs or video) the resort and related property.

Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, transmitted, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. All trademarks, service marks, logos, images and facilities of Gaylord Opryland are the sole property of Gaylord Entertainment and may not be used, reproduced, displayed or distributed without written consent.

Portrait Photography

For those considering using the Gaylord Opryland atrium or exterior resort grounds as the location for wedding, engagement, bridal, senior class, individual, or family portraits:

Due to the resort's unique focus on meetings and conventions, Gaylord Opryland's public spaces are reserved for the use of groups utilizing our convention center. Because meeting functions and networking activities regularly occur in our atrium, we do not allow professional photography (including wedding photography and portraits) in our public spaces.

We do make exceptions for weddings and receptions that are held on site, as these activities are closely planned and monitored by our weddings department. Onsite engagement, bridal or wedding photography/videography is allowed, as long as the event is being held at Gaylord Opryland, and the couple receives prior approval from the weddings department. Unauthorized photographers are subject to immediate expulsion from the resort property.

Events, Meetings and Conventions

For those utilizing Gaylord Opryland as a location for a special event, meeting or convention:

If you would like to photograph your special event, conference, meeting or group gathering being held at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, we want to support your efforts. However, Gaylord Opryland maintains a policy on interior and exterior photography in our public spaces, including atrium and grounds. These policies are not meant to be restrictive but are to help avoid operational challenges, space conflicts and interruptions for groups utilizing our meeting space.

Before scheduling photography in any public spaces (including our atriums and resort grounds), please review your request with your Conference Services Manager, Catering Manager, Executive Meetings Manager or Conference Coordinator. Any of these contacts will be happy to check availability of public spaces. This will help to avoid any space conflicts or interruptions.

Professional photographers/videographers who are contracted specifically for the purposes of documenting a special event, meeting or convention MUST be provided and wear an event credential (or other form of official identification) throughout their stay that clearly shows their affiliation with a specific group, event or convention that is occurring at the Gaylord Opryland Resort during their time onsite. It is the responsibility of the event organizer to provide their photographer/videographer (and any assistants or crew) with the appropriate event credential or official identification in advance, before any services are performed on Gaylord Opryland property.

Please note that photography uses for commercial purposes is prohibited, without prior written permission.
