Pamela Samaniego, General Manager
Radisson Hotel at Opryland

"At the Radisson Hotel at Opryland, our mission is to work together to create a wonderful place to work and to provide a flawless guest experience. I, for one, am constantly amazed and humbled by the talent and passion our STARS have, living up to that challenge."

The Radisson Hotel at Opryland is known for its convenient meeting space and close proximity to Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center. At the helm of this 303-room property in Nashville, Tennessee, is Pamela Samaniego. As the general manager, she oversees the day-to-day operations and functioning of the property.

The Radisson Hotel at Opryland has 303 guestrooms and offers hassle-free meetings in its 15,000 square feet of meeting space, the largest of which is a 4,170 square foot ballroom. A dedicated executive meetings manager is appointed to every meeting, ensuring flawless coordination of every event from start to finish. Owned by Gaylord Hotels, the Radisson Hotel at Opryland is directly across the street from the world-renowned Gaylord Opryland Resort. Every Radisson Hotel guest has access to the resort’s lush gardens, restaurants, entertainment and state-of-the-art Relâche Spa, all situated on nine acres under glass.

Samaniego joins the Radisson--and the Gaylord Hotels family--from the Gaylord Texan® Resort & Convention Center, where she served for three years as the director of reservations and Consider It Done, Gaylord Hotels’ exclusive, immediate problem-solving hotline. In this position, she was responsible for leading a team of more than 60. In 2006 alone, her team met or exceeded all call center goals, handling more 390,000 reservations calls and 630,000 Consider It Done requests with less than a 6 percent rate of abandonment. Samaniego also was successful in solving a need to sell tickets to special events when she introduced and implemented etix.com to that property. Because of her accomplishments there, she was named a Gaylord Texan Leader of the Month.

Samaniego held the position of Six Sigma Black Belt at a Starwood property in Dallas. She has also worked for the Sheraton Park Central in Dallas, Lexington Services Worldwide Reservations and the Doubletree Hotel Corporation. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration at North Texas State University. A current member of the Greater Nashville Hotel & Lodging Association and Girls on the Run Non-Profit and the Dallas Foundation for Women, she has also belonged to the International Reservations Executive Association and the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association.
