John A. Schick serves as the vice president of finance for Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center, where he is responsible for strategic planning, accounting, purchasing and warehouse, retail operations and safety and security. He joined the team in 2002 because of his interest in serving customers and being a part of a leadership team with a large business. Schick identifies his biggest accomplishment at Gaylord Opryland as the strong growth of the resort’s business in terms of occupancy, profitability and guest and STAR satisfaction.

Prior to joining Gaylord Opryland, Schick served in senior financial roles for Harrah’s Entertainment.

Schick holds a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis on accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a member of Financial Executives International.

Outside of crunching numbers, Schick enjoys spending time with his three sons, as well as participating in outdoor activities such as biking, duck hunting, horseback riding, hiking and taking care of his farm.
