GUNNARD CUNNINGHAM NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF FOOD & BEVERAGE FOR GAYLORD NATIONAL RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER

National Harbor, MD —( January 10, 2008 ) Gunnard Cunningham has been named vice president of food and beverage for the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, the newest Gaylord Hotels property currently under construction in the National Harbor, Md. development just south of Washington, D.C. This announcement was made by Sheldon Suga, senior vice president and general manager.

In his new position, Cunningham will oversee all operations for Gaylord National's restaurants, eateries and lounges, as well as the resort's in-room dining and conference catering divisions. His primary focus will be leadership development, menu engineering, fostering a culture of innovation and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

"Our culinary excellence is a huge part of the experience at Gaylord National," said Suga. "We pride ourselves on the distinct tastes, styles, and environments at all of our signature restaurants, and we're excited to see Gunnard bring them to life. Gaylord National will feature seven restaurants, eateries and lounges when it opens in April 2008. Among those will be four signature dining experiences, including the intimate, sophisticated epicurean experiences of Old Hickory Steakhouse, the mid-Atlantic regional tastes and aromas of Moon Bay Coastal Cuisine, the zest and authentic Italian flavors of Pienza Italian Market, and the exciting game-day appeal of National Pastime Sports Bar and Grill.

Cunningham brings more than 20 years of hospitality food and beverage expertise to Gaylord National, serving most recently as director of food and beverage for The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Va. His previous experience includes the Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo., The Sagamore in Lake George, New York, as well as Omni Hotels. He is a current member of the National Restaurant Association.
